The universe is huge and contains all time and space. It contains planets, stars and galaxies. The Solar eclipse happens when the moon comes between the sun and the earth (i.e. the moon is nearly on a straight line with the sun and the earth). An area of dark shadow is formed on the earth called, umbra and another brighter shadow called penumbra. When the moon passes in front of the sun, we observe three different types of solar eclipses. They are: Total eclipse as we don't see the sun completely, Partial eclipse as we see only part of the sun and Annular eclipse when the orbital of the moon is higher than earth level as the cone shadow of the moon doesn't reach the earth. We must be careful when looking to the sun during solar eclipse because sunlight are very harmful to the eye so we should use a special glasses.
